Winner will be selected using Random.org
To get you started, here's my challenge example:
When Jacob is trying to decide if he can be friends with Bella again at the beginning of Eclipse,
I could imagine him scream-singing "Whataya Want from Me" at Bella. He
can't decide if he wants to make up with her and is confused by their
relationship because he thinks she may want more but she can't admit it
to him or to herself. The playful side of Jacob, and the part of him
that wants to make up with Bella, just might even sport some Adam
Lambert guy-liner.

This is such a cute challenge!
ReplyDeleteMy character is Keeper from Entwined. I picture him hanging out in the pavilion all alone singing "Dancing With Myself". Epic.
Cole from Everneath! I see him singing to Nikki solo. Singing the song Someday by Nickelback! HAHA :)
ReplyDeletekatvela12345 At hotmail.com
Adrian from Vampire Academy. He sings "In Another Life" by The Veronicas. Specifically he sings to Rose, after the whole thing with Dimitri happened and how hurt he is by her promises.

ReplyDeleteTris could freeze frame the control room scene in Divergent and sing "Born to Die" by Lana Del Rey
ReplyDeletesigh...so good!!!
Wooo! Good one! I lol'ed at your Jacob answer!
ReplyDeleteUmm...let me think...Well, I just finished #5 in the Vampire Academy and though you can tell Rose is trying to love Adrian...the name truly written on her heart is Dimitri's...so I'm going to say that she will sing Katy Perry's "Thinking of You"...(Comparisons aren't easily done/once you've had a taste of perfection...Cause when I'm with him I am/Thinking of you/Thinking of you/What can I do?/If you were the one who was spending the night/well, I wish that I was looking into your...eyes) Perfect huh??? :) Thanks for this! The carnival is super fun!

Well, I would choose Bella after Edward left her (if she had any sense or even a life, lol) and have her sing "So What?"by Pink. But since she doesn't have a life, I'll pick a different song.
ReplyDeleteHow about Bella singing "Don't Know What You Got Til It's Gone" by Cinderella when Edward leaves her.
My character is Etienne from Anna and the French Kiss and he'd sing The Only Exception by Paramore to Anna. Because she really is the only exception in his life - she's the only one he tells everything to, the only one who calls him by his first name, and the only one whom he'd do anything and everything for. And she's the only one who gave him advice about how to deal with his dad and he actually listened.
ReplyDeleteThey're each other only exceptions:)
ccfioriole at gmail dot com
Oh wow. How to choose....Okay I thinly I have one. I could totally see Bella from Charmed Life Trilogy by Jenny B. Jones singing "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" by Cindy Lauper.
ReplyDeleteFun challenge! Thanks for the booth!
hannahsue10(at)gmail(dot)com
I forgot to tell you when Etienne would sing this to Anna. I think he'd sing it to her at their graduation party or their wedding reception:)
ReplyDeleteccfioriole at gmail dot com
This particular challenge is perfect for me, because I assign a song to every book I read. The last one that was from the perspective of a particular character is this one:
ReplyDeleteBrian Jackson from David Nicolls' Starter for Ten sings We Get On by Kate Nash to Alice, the girl he's obsessed with. It does not work out.
cynicalsapphire at gmail dot com
I would have to say that Will from Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare will be my character. I would have Will sing The Reason by Hoobastank, because after he met Tessa he found a reason to change himself so he could be with her!!!
ReplyDeleteI forgot to put my email: bridget.howard@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteOk since I'm reading Perfect Chemistry right now I am choosing Alex and his brothers and they are singing Give Me Everything by Pitbull featuring Ne-Yo to Brittany.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Carrie from Stalking the Bookshelves
Rose would sing "Let's Get It On" by Marvin Gaye to Dimitri because she's saucy like that. elena@novelsounds.net
ReplyDeleteMy Character: Holden Caufield from The Catcher in the Rye
ReplyDeleteSong: All By Myself" (Eric Carmen/Celine Dion)
Reason: Holden is clearly depressed and suffering some kind of anxiety (possibly PTSD). For the majority of the story, he wanders around alone, looking to build connections (with an old school teacher, with an old girlfriend, etc.) but ultimately failing each time. Ultimately, he is institutionalized because he cannot deal with his feelings of loss, abandonment and... lonliness.
roofbeamreader(at)gmail(dot)com
Really cool idea, by the way.. love it!
My character is definitely Four from Divergent. I can picture him singing the song Let Me Go by Three Doors Down. Why? Because throughout the book Tris seems to have a crush on him, but she doesn't really know who he is truly. This was a super cool idea! meganlovesyuu@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteJack from Moira Young's "Blood Red Road" would enter the karaoke booth and sing "What Do I Have to Do" by Stabbing Westward, to Saba- because she's in his head and it's driving him nuts (not to mention dictating his motives and making him do stupid things). :)
ReplyDeletebethwade1 at gmail dot com
I LOVE this!!!
ReplyDeleteMine is Callum from Callum & Harper would sing : Could I Have This Dance by Anne Murray to Harper!!!
Because he loves her the moment he lays his eyes on her- and waits FIVE years for her!!
thebookishbrunette@gmail.com
Nick from Breathing Underwater by Alex Flinn singing perfect by simple plan to his dad. Nick's dad wants him to be perfect, but how can someone actually be perfect, especially since his dad is far from it because he is abusive and never around.
ReplyDelete-jennybelieves@gmail.com
I'm currently reading The Last Echo by Kimberly Derting and I can so see Violet and Jay singing a duet of Lucky by Jason Mraz and Colbie Cailat... "I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend" It's all about how they can make each other feel better even when they're apart... and they're best friends, so how perfect is that?
ReplyDeletekristyf1504[at]gmail[dot]com
Hm... I would do choose Will Herondale from Clockwork Prince and he would be singing Uncharted-Sara Bareilles. He would be singing this after he finds out the truth of the curse he has been afflicted with for the past 6 years.
ReplyDeleteajiehuang1997 (at) gmail (dot) com
=D This was fun to think about. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love The Mortal Instruments series, and Simon & Isabelle are my favorite characters. Their relationship is always up and down because they won't fully open their hearts, so I could see either (more likely Isabelle) enter a karaoke bar and sing Ellie Goulding's Animal. The song describes their relationship to the tee. Both knows they're the one for each other and want to try things again, but they're afraid of any rejection.
joanna9273[at]gmail[dot]com
Sam from Shiver (Wolves of Mercy Falls) singing "Take my Breath Away". Sam was such a romantic to me as Tom Cruise was in Top Gun.
ReplyDeleteRight now I'm reading The Last Olympian with Percy Jackson...I can totally see him singing "I'm a Survivor" in this book...although I'm not finished with it, so that could ALL change.
ReplyDeletesteph4575 at msn dot com
Sophie from the Hex Hall series would sing Let The Flames Begin by Paramore. It's such a kick-butt girl song and that perfectly describes Sophie. I still haven't read Spell Bound, but it works for the first two books :]
ReplyDeletearoomwithbooks(at)gmail(dot)com
Jay would sing to Violet from The Body Finder by Kim derting. The song would be Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol just because the song seems like a song you would sing to your best friend turn lovers.
ReplyDeleteThebooklass(at)gmaildotcom
Jacob from Twilight Series singing I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For by U2 cause he is yearning for a life with Bella.
ReplyDeleteClary, from The Mortal Instruments would head up on stage, look Jace square in the eye and sing,"Don't Go Breakin' my Heart". Of course she would invite him up on stage to sing with her because it is a duet:)
ReplyDeleteFun game. Thanks for the chance!
bchild5 at aol dot com
Omg! I have always imagined Jacob in new moon singing I Want You To Want Me by Cheap Trick to Bella.
ReplyDeleteCynthia Garcia
Bookreaderaddict@hotmail.com
Hmm.. I see Kaidan from Sweet Evil singing 'I'm Bringing Sexy Back' :D
ReplyDeleteWell maybe...:D Thanks for the giveaway!
Email: addiecupcakez@yahoo.com
I'm going to do Twilight too...lol. In New Moon after Edward leaves I could picture Bella singing Breathe by Breaking Benjamin. (Although, she was in no condition to sing...) The song fits the story so well. It's almost eerie.
ReplyDeleteSince I'm reading Blood Promise right now I always thought of Rose and Dimitri so I guess
ReplyDeleteI'll choose Rose to sing "Last Kiss" by Taylor Swift for Dimitri. I don't want to give any
spoilers but I can say that it pretty sums up Rose's feelings on this fourth books of Richelle Mead although
not all of its lyrics is related to the story, but still, the message and emotions it wanted to express is still there. :)
clarissa(dot)bulatao(at)yahoo(dot)com
Okay, I had to think about this one a little bit, because there are some really great songs...But I think I found a perfect match:
ReplyDeleteGabi, from The River of Time series by Lisa T Bergren, takes the stage. Still giddy from realizing that everything she never thought she could have was waiting for her here - in medieval Italy - she starts crooning the beautiful love song "Just a Kiss" by Lady Antebellum. As her voice brings the audience to tears, her eyes meet those of her knight - Marcello - and she feels the truth in her song :o)
What a fun challenge! :o)
quarterback.girl[at]gmail[dot]com
@RivkaBelle
I'd love to think that Henry VIII in "The Other Boleyn Girl" would be singing "Stayin' Alive" by the BeeGees. The way the song starts out I can see him singing "Well you can tell by the way I walk, I'm a woman's man - no time to talk"... it would be AWESOME.
ReplyDeleteWoops... my twitter name is @nicolemardell
DeleteYelena from Poison Study! I think she would sing Starships, by Nicki Minaj. Love that song!
ReplyDeleteemscrammedbookshelf at yahoo dot com
I think that Jasmine, from the book Amplified, would sing Fix You by Coldplay, because all she really needs is someone to fix her :) Thank you for the giveaway!
ReplyDeletekim3317 at hotmail dot com
good booth idea!!
ReplyDeleteIf Syd from "Bone Dressing" by Michelle I. Brooks entered the karaoke booth i think she would sing "Im A Bitch" by Alanis Morissette, because Syd is very sarcastic and sassy. She isn't a saint except when it comes to friends or family and i think she would sing this song to Beau as a "Take me for what i am" message.
Thanks for the giveaway!!

I just finished reading Born Wicked by Jessica Spotswood and can imagine Cate singing "This Kiss" by Faith Hill to Finn in the gazebo. I can also see her singing "Do You Believe in Magic" to Finn while in her garden. ♥
ReplyDeleteThanks for the awesome giveaway! :))
kristen10horses[at]yahoo[dot]com
I love this challenge!
ReplyDeleteMy answer is an easy one. I can totally see Will (from Angelfire by Courtney Allison Moulton) singing Guardian Angel to Ellie. He would do anything for her.
Thanks for the giveaway! And now I've got the added image of Will standing awkwardly on a karaoke stage, trying to sing. ;)

Riv Reads
I just finished Slow Twitch by Liz Reinhart (Brenna Blixon Series)
ReplyDeleteMy character choice would be Saxon (after Brenna gets back together with Jake)he would sing "Hate me" by Blue October.
hrtansoul@gmail.com
My guy is Adam from If I Stay/Where She Went. He just happens to be the lead singer in a band, by the way. The song he is singing is Black by Pearl Jam. I'd like to say he is singing it to me since it is my favorite song, but he is ultimately singing it to Mia. He knew if she was to come back that he would have to let her go and that is what he did, but he still wishes it didn't have to be that way.
ReplyDeletejaidahsmommy(at)comcast(dot)net
My character is Aria, from Under the Never Sky. She, of course, would sing an aria (by who, I can't say...I'm not versed in that type of music). But she was the first character that I thought of when I read the challenge. And that's my favorite book. =) Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDelete~Shelby
I just read the last installment of Gallagher Girls, so my mind is on that series. I would choose for Cammie to sing "Big Girls Don't Cry" by Fergie at the end of the book where Zach has come to her and tried to get her to leave with him, but she says she can't and then she leaves all on her own. Just like the song says:
ReplyDelete"It's personal, myself and I
We've got some straightenin' out to do
And I'm gonna miss you like a child misses their blanket
But I've got to get a move on with my life
It's time to be a big girl now
And big girls don't cry"
Thanks for the giveaway!

Jace's own book comes out in Novemeber but he was introduced in the first few books of the Sinners books by Olivia Cunning (Backstage Pass was the first book). The song for him would be Remember Everytyhing by Five Finger Death Punch. Jace is in a lot of pain and has issues.
ReplyDeleteI'd have to choose Augustus from The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. He was an amazing character and his relationship with Hazel was a beautiful one. I can definitely imagine him singing "Waiting for a Girl Like You" by Foreigner. When Hazel came into his life she really changed a lot for him and they made each others lives worth living, no matter how painful it was to live.
ReplyDeletejspec92@gmail.com
Tris from Divergent would sing Keep Holding On by Avil Lavigne. She would because despite most of her family dead, and her faction destroyed, she has Four by her side helping her, along with other friends she might make. And in return, she's there for Four and all the crap he has to put up with from his father.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
thunter_5@yahoo.com
Since I am in the middle of reading Moira Young's Blood Red Road, I will choose Saba. I can just imagine her singing Gloria Gaynor's I Will Survive right before her first cage fight. The song totally embodies that confidence (and maybe also slightly arrogant) attitude.
ReplyDeletelilianxchengATgmailDOTcom
Cute contest!
ReplyDeleteI think Adrian from the Vampire Academy series, and now Bloodlines, would sing What You've Done To Me by Needtobreathe. Either that or if he's really ticked, Three Simple Words by Finch.
Why? Because Rose practically shoved her fist into his chest and ripped out his heart!
I always do this! I forgot my address!
ReplyDeletebibliostalker(at)gmail(dot).com
Amelia Ashley from Hereafter by Tara Hudson -- Going Under by Evanescence
ReplyDeletescarlettkitty at hotmail dot com
um, jace from Mortal Instruments would sing "Love is a Battlefield" because he would think it was funny (obviously, I think he would probably sing it in City of Bones, when he still has a bit of a sense of humor) ... although, I could see Magnus singing this as well. hmmm...
ReplyDeletedixie @ Gone Pecan
@gone_pecan
Cinder from Cinder would sing "All By Myself" after she meets the Prince because she likes him but thinks he'll reject her because she's a cyborg.
ReplyDeleteJack Caputo would totally be singing "Vienna" by The Fray to Nikki Beckett in Everneath! (If you've read it, you'll get it.)
ReplyDeletepherlaithiel (at) gmail (dot) com
I can totally see Wes from The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen singing She Will be Loved (by Maroon 5) for Macy. The song pretty much describes their relationship-- how Macy doesn't want to be loved but does at the same time, and how Wes is always there for her when she needs it. So perfect!
ReplyDeleteemmanemgirl(at)gmail(dot)com
I can definitely see Jace from the Mortal Instruments singing to Clary "You're Still the One" by Shania Twain. Especially when the lyrics are:
ReplyDelete"They said, "I bet they'll never make it"
But just look at us holding on
We're still together still going strong"
well this would be more of during the first 3 books, not the recent ones where Jace is all wacko LOL
laceyblossom@yahoo.com
I think Della from the Shadow Falls series by C.C. Hunter should sing "Perfect" by Simple Plan to her parents because I think it expresses how hurt she is by their disappointment in her.
ReplyDeleteThanks!

In Welcome, Caller, This Is Chloe
ReplyDeleteby Shelley Coriell, Chloe has a radio show and "she's the queen of everything" so I can see the entire radio crew in her school singing DANCING QUEEN by ABBA for her!
Racquel @ The Book Barbies♥
-thank you&come again.
I imagine Sookie walking into a karaoke bar and singing "What's Love Got to Do With It". After reading this last book, that should be her theme song!
