Synopsis

Ashes to ashes.
Dust to dust.
And all that f***ing shit.
I had killed.
I had sacrificed.
The innocent and the corrupt. I knew blood and I knew violence.
Never imagining I could know love too.
Mia Ryder was a woman to love. To cherish. To f***ing claim. Now, forever, and every day in between.
If there was anyone I’d go to Hell and back for, it was her.
Even if meant, going to war with…
My f***ing brother.

My Thoughts

It was like M. Robinson heard my pleas and gave me the book that I wanted. ROAD TO NOWHERE felt like Creed's book. After reading it, I wanted more of Mia - her story. Her thoughts, her experiences. ENDS HERE feels like Mia's book. The youthful angst that I love of COMPLICATE ME and UNDO ME filled the pages of ENDS HERE and I couldn't get enough of it.

ENDS HERE focuses a lot on relationships: Mia and Creed's, Mia and Noah's, and Noah and Creed's. It hurt my heart (a common feeling while reading M's books) to experience all of the emotions along with the characters.

I never pledged allegiance to a "team" but I definitely wanted to know more about Noah after meeting him in ROAD TO NOWHERE. It's hard not to fall for Noah the more we got to know him. And Creed was the overwhelming alpha male but I like this new side to him in ENDS HERE. The side that Mia brings out of him.

I loved that Lucas and Alex got a lot of page time and the cameos of other characters from the Good Ol' Boys series.

There were many heart pounding scenes. I could feel my heart rate speed up from just the intensity of the action. It's been quite a while since I had such a reaction to a book. Of course there is the heartbreak that is definitely a signature of M's books. Why, oh why, must you destroy us and demand our tears?

While I read, I found myself wondering:
How had I forgotten about Luke?
What was the connection to Martinez?
How will all of these stories interconnect? :

I absolutely loved the story, but then something happened that I just couldn't accept. It wasn't added to make us laugh, it wasn't to make us feel, it wasn't to take our tears. I was left with a lot of frustration and thoughts of WHY, just WHY? It didn't ruin the book for me, but I'm not OK with it. I’ve decided not to state specifically what bothered me because we all read books differently. My suggestion is to read ENDS HERE and decide for yourself.

^^^^ I hate that I had to write that because I really like ENDS HERE a lot.

I know that I'll read this book again because I just LOVE Mia in it and I'll recommend it to readers who like more edgier books because M.'s books are definitely that. This story is explosive and I can't wait to read more like it!
