Bout of Books 8.0: Goals

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, August 19th and runs through Sunday, August 25th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 8.0 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. - From the Bout of Books team
I'm setting just a few goals for this week's Bout of Books read-a-thon. I expect to have a really busy week at work and we have friends in town, so I don't think I will get a lot of reading in, but I still want to participate and reconnect with other readers.
So, here are my goals:
  • Finish Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (audiobook)
  • Finish Collateral by Ellen Hopkins
  • Read one review book
  • Read at least one book from my YALLFest TBR pile
YALLFest TBR

I'll post my updates here and on Twitter: @ActinUpwb

Monday, Day 1: Listened to 3 chapters of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Tuesday, Day 2: Listened to 1 chapter of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Wednesday, Day 3: read between 30-40 pages of Collateral by Ellen Hopkins

Thursday, Day 4: Finish Collateral by Ellen Hopkins. I've read all of her (published) books and I think this one may be my favorite.

Friday, Day 5: Listened to a few chapters of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Saturday, Day 6: read Keeping Her (A LOSING IT novella) by Cora Carmack

Sunday, Day 7: Finished Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets audiobook

    1. I don't know if I'll get to Divergent. I've loaned it to a friend and don't think I'll get it back before the read-a-thon ends. Thankfully I have PLENTY of others to choose from.

      Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Which Harry Potter audiobook edition are you listening to, Dale or Fry? Not that it really matter, both are super awesome!

    1. I'm listening to the Dale version. I didn't know there was more than one. I got my copy from the library - my new favorite way to get audiobooks!
